@nateclone38283 years ago My personal theroy is that Rick probably abandoned the dimension he was in Season 4 and went to a dimension where his family respected him.
And the episode with the two Smith family's fighting is a fight against Rick's previous dimension and his current one.
Maybe Space Beth tried to hunt Rick down after he left, and sent the rest of the family and a replacement Rick (possibly the casualty in the fighting scene) to the dimension of our Rick is currently in. ... 112

@blueweirdness40233 years ago Perhaps the internal dread of losing everyone will cause Rick to hold on even tighter? We saw this with Morty's would-be Netflix deal. Jessica has also already seen Rick being dependant on Mort in "Rest and Ricklaxation. " So maybe Rick will take a similar attitude to her that he has with Jerry? I can see Jessica getting frustrated and leaving because of that, or maybe it goes the opposite and she likes the adventures? Either way, it's all too easy for me to imagine Morty and Jessica on a date, and Rick just pulls them both into another dimension, because they need intergalactic doorstops again or something. ... 23

I agree but that's Seasons 1 and 2. They no longer do that any more whenever they're together for the entirety of Season 4 where they barely argue at all and when they do, its so short and nowhere near as toxic as it was before Beth's character development where she's not trying to win the approval of a father that takes advantage of that insecurity. ... 3

@thelastowlbear81103 years ago The one thing I'm not seeing is that the Mindblower only shows what happened, not what the participants were thinking. With the Clone Beth, is it not possible that Rick cloned her and then set up a situation where he could never know which was which because he wanted both versions of Beth to exist. He wanted both the constrained mother version of his daughter to exist because he loved living with her and loved her children (but not Jerry) but also wanted her to live out her full Star Wars potential. He knew she could be the Universe's Most Wanted but not if she had to raise her children (which she would always choose). So why not make a clone and allow her to do both AND mindblow himself so neither would be eliminated. She could have the best of both worlds and HE'D be to blame instead of her. Pretty decent parenting, TBH. ... 2

These blue square portals appear to be being used across what seem to be multiple different episodes, with not a sign of the classic green portals except a short shot of a large one being opened in space by what im assuming is the citadel. ...

@DemiTrusdale33 years ago That screenshot did raise a question for me... Rick had a handful of resurrection protocols/contingencies, like morty’s chip and operation Phoenix and its backdoors in other universes.
But what about the dead rick our rick replaced, and yes, what about deserter rick too? They mislead us in rick potion #9, with a near identical instance to his, “not missing a beat”, so wouldn’t the dead rick have those protocols too?
Maybe he was dimension/body hopping back home this entire time? Like rick did in rick die repeat?
And maybe the conflict is part of some montage, where one rick pursues another as they try to steal/takeover the life of yet another rick that may have been fated to die possibly? ...

@johnassal58383 years ago I've always assumed we don't know which Rick is "ours" while Rick C-137 is the dead one from the end of Rick Potion #9. Practically the next episode Rick was framed for killing all those other Ricks yet the fact he had just replaced yet another dead Rick was never mentioned or referenced. To me that says even they didn't know he wasn't that dimensions original Rick.
But if "our" Rick isn't actually the Original C-137 yet should be then I call that Main Sequence Rick is actually the "super weird guy" who was the Rick on the Rick Spectrum between C-137 and "Evil scar Rick" that Evil Morty was controlling. As in that Rick was Evil Morty's original Rick, hence why he was fuqing with him by framing him. ...

Our Morty thinks he’s C-137 because he hears Rick call himself that all the time. Ricks hop to new dimensions but keep their original designation. The counsel of Ricks refers to our Rick as C-137 after the Cronenburg episode, so it’s confirmed he’s C-137. ...

@Brandoncreates20073 years ago I think at the end of season 5. Something dramatic will probably happen. Like their house being destroyed thanks to rick. They than all confess that Rick is a terrible person until Rick is left with morty. Morty said he is sick of the adventures. And Rick says you say that and go on it again dingus. Than morty grabs ricks portal gun and breaks into pieces out of anger. Morty than left leaving Rick homeless. Than maybe in season 6. The first episode can be focus on the family after ditching Rick. Than a while later they realize they get into situations that only Rick can solve. Than in between these episodes it will show Rick and what he’s up to. Than during the finale he is trying to kill himself. The family came for a visit and tell him to not do it. After a bit of confessing it’s not worth the kill, Rick still didn’t listen. Morty came with a gift and said he’s sorry. Rick opened it and it has the remains of the portal gun which remains Rick all the fun things they did together. It than confesses Rick to not kill himself. And learned maybe he is a bit loved. And he hasn’t been giving much love to himself. Idk about bird person or the clone Beth/Rick though. Anyways that was a long comment. And in conclusion. I’m really excited for season 5. ...

@TheBobist3 years ago About the whole Morty and Jessica Dynamic I really do like it because it's not like Jessica does not have an interest in him. in fact she has shown to be a person who could easily be interested in Morty at anytime they interact or brush paths. the only thing that is stopping them is morty himself.
She has never once been repulsed by Morty or felt herself to be better or in different leagues or status as him and I think overall she may even view themselves as compatible equals. ...
