i have a theory that fits to theau
i think after they accidentally killed chris, they wouldnt want to hurt him anymore. I think they come to try and say sorry to him, but he uses the flashlight. For that particular reason, the jumpscares cant be meant to hurt/harm chris (c. C) but their screamseither of pain, confusion, sadness, anger etc.
