Please join me as I kayak up and down the river in search of animal curiosities like turtle shells and historical relics like Civil War relics. Toward the end of the day, a thunderstorm rolls in and I had to scoot. About Aquachigger: I enjoy metal detecting for historical items like gold coins, relics, silver coins, and other buried treasures. I also metal detect for gold and silver nuggets and even meteorites. I like to make videos that promote my choice of lifestyle that includes outdoor adventure, metal detecting, yapping, searching for river treasure, SCUBA diving, exploring abandoned places, hiking, caving, caring for animals and pets, and observing the things outdoors that often go unnoticed by most people who are not familiar with outdoor adventures and nature. @sonnypate68083 years ago Get the piece you threw back in with that 330 conibear. It's a stand to hold the trap on. You push the two prongs into the mud and it will set the trap up in front of a hole or a beaver run. .☮️👍 12

@Aquabob13 years ago That looked like a 330 Conibear for Beaver and Otter. The metal item with it is a support, to hold the trap up in a slide or run, where there is no natural things to support it. Should definitely be set with a trap setting tool. ... 1

@whotknots3 years ago Chig I wonder if the fact that the projectile on the intact Spencer cartridge you found is misaligned with the case could be the result of a misfeed from the magazine to the chamber because that would be a reason it was ejected and/or discarded in unfired condition.
The amount of force required to cause such deformation to the cartridge could easily occur while it was being cycled from the tube magazine in the buttstock to the chamber and might also be indicative that the damage occurred during battle.
This is because a soldier might have been trying to cycle the action on his weapon with urgency motivated by a life or death situation and we often don't know our own strength when the effects of adrenaline kick in. ... 1

I have only found 2 loaded spencer cartridges since I have been hunting. I have found many more of the base cartridges and bottoms. ...
