Newham Reflections: Mayor Rokhsana Fiaz talks with Dr Farzana Hussain about a safe Ramadan at home

In the latest of her Newham Reflections videos, Mayor Rokhsana Fiaz talks with Plaistow GP Dr Farzana Hussain about how Ramadan 2020 is a very different experience for Muslims in Newham during the COVID19 lockdown. In accordance with public health advice, people cannot gather together, but Dr Hussain says while physical distance has to be observed, the spiritual connection remains strong. Dr Hussain is sharing pictures of some of her recipes to stay connected with her family and friends. Remember to plan your iftar menus in advance so that you can limit multiple shopping trips and limit exposure given the social distancing measures in place.
