A Nice Alternate Plan - Chasing NYS&W

Sunday, October 9th, 2022 - We're based in the Rochester, NY area for the first of three nights. Our plan for this day was going to be chasing the Finger Lakes Railroad from Geneva to Solvay and back. However on Saturday as we traveled west, the revelation that the FRA had shut down a short deck bridge in Auburn, was a plan killer. The Finger Lakes would not run again until Monday afternoon. Now we were going to have to find something else to do (railfanning) on Sunday. Could it be possible we would have to hold our noses and watch CSX in Rochester? A little birdie at the last moment told us the NYS&W was going to be running a Sunday extra from Syracuse to Cortland, and we went for it!
